Hello,
I just wanted to create a chat for anyone who applied for the Spring 2025 cohort since I haven't seen any other post. I'm so nervous.
how's everyone feeling.

Also congratulations for getting in!
Hello and thank you! Here is the link: https://www.dallascollege.edu/cd/credit/pages/ecc-health-packets-sessions.aspx
so I noticed they removed the direct download for the RN packet so you can definitely shoot them an email and they'll send you the information packet. Also- you should ask if they accept transfer nursing students. I'm not sure. Good luck!

I just found the packet on my iCloud Drive if you want, I can't send it to you... what is your email?

Yes. It's in the packet as well. There is a bunch of hoops to jump through. Lots of vaccines I can also send you a screenshot of those.

Curious where and how yall went about the Hep B vaccines?
Thanks! The QUICK way is to go to Sam's Club. You don't have to have a membership to get a vaccine. They have a heplislav 2-dose vaccine that only has to be dosed 30 days apart. After you get the 2nd dose you have to wait 30 more days then you get the titer done at quest showing you are immune. The vaccine cost around $120 per dose then the titer is $50 I think. IF you have health insurance you can call your PCP and ask about pricing as well. ALSO look at the local county health clinics for other vaccines if you don't have insurance. I went to Dallas county health clinic on stemmons many times for low cost vaccines.
Hello, I hope your program is going well. I am applying to the ADN fall 2025 cohort and would like to know what are the class schedules like. I notice in the earlier post some mentioned evening classes . Im trying to see if I need to save and apply next Jan or if the schedule would allow me to apply for this fall and work during the day

Hello. Thanks for the good wishes. It is going well. The program is well organized and well structured, so far. There are night-ish classes that would allow you to do clinicals over night. There are evening classes as well. My schedule is Tuesday-clinical Wednesday-lecture Thursday-skills. It's only 3 classes.

Wow, thank you so much for responding and providing that insight. With that being said would it be realistic to say that I could work mon-fri from 8-4 or 5 and still be in the program ? Im very to hear that its organized

It's certainly possible. Most of the people in the program work from what I can tell but it's not recommended. it won't be easy. The program is a full time job itself. Even if it's only 3 classes. You have to study and practice the chapter questions (NCLEX style) honestly 7 days a week for at least a couple hours. It's also possible to apply for the LVN as well as the ADN because you can always bridge from LVN to ADN>BSN.
