Any besides the community colleges? I'd like to start a course ASAP and not have to wait until the next semester begins.

Try doing a Google search for CNA training, Dallas Texas. I think I remember seeing some when I did that search.
I think they are pretty expensive. Maybe you could find a LTC facility that would be willing to train you in exchange for working for them.

Well, the semiester started last week (Aug 29 was the first day of classes) and there were classes that started that day.
Here's a link to the Nurse Assistant Class page at Brookhaven College through their continuing education division.

They have them starting throughout the semiester so you will only have to wait a month or so before starting. Plus at $500 for the class, not including book, it's a steal.
I don't know of any Technical Schools that offer Nursing Assistant classes, but thise kinds of schools are generally overhyped and only offer Medical Assisting and that is just a poor man's nurse anyway.
