Cypress College Nursing Program 2016

Anyone apply for spring 2016 program?

I'm also using the official ATI manual to study. I bought mine on amazon. I also use youtube to watch videos on the concepts (science & math). Look up "khan academy", those videos in particular have been very helpful for me.

Thanks for the tips, guys! Just rented one from Barnes and Nobles. :cat:

I'm an alternate. I had 28 points with about a 3.7 gpa. :( Do we get to know what # we are on the alternate list?

As for the TEAS, I bought the official study manual from the ATI website. The math section is fairly basic, since the highest level of math needed is Algebra.

That might be a question for orientation. I read a couple previous threads on here back from a few years ago. They said almost all of the alternates were selected to enter the program. When I applied to mt SAC, they only took 15 alternates for a cohort of 60. I wonder if it's a small group. Another person with 28 points who applied this term didn't make it as an alternate apparently.

Wow really?? That's crazy. :wideyed: I'm just getting super anxious because I'm an alternate for Santa Ana as well..

I really hope we all get in though!

Does anyone know how much it costs to take the TEAS?

If I remember correctly, they said you don't have to pay for it. But don't quote me on it. They administer the exam

Ok, thanks :) I'm hoping we'll find out our scores the same day. Do you feel prepared for it?

Yeah. You just need a 62% overall to pass. Shouldn't be too bad

Yea, that's not bad at all. I haven't taken chemistry since high school so I'm trying to focus my studies a little more on that section. The other 3 sections seem pretty easy for the most part to me though.

Have any alternates heard anything?

Does anyone know if we'll be given a choice to pick which day we take the TEAS (either wednesday or thursday) or will they be assigning us to a certain day?

Good luck to everyone taking the TEAS tomorrow :)
