I would say you're at the top because max points are 30

They should have sent denial notices too. I wonder why they haven't emailed us. So frustrating. I'm worried because I applied in September for both Spring and fall. I'm wondering if I had to reapply again for fall 2024.  I was an alternate for Spring with  28 points but didn't make it in. Now just waiting on this notice for fall . 😭

I was an alternate for Spring as well and didn't make it in but I had 27 points. So I think I'm at the bottom 😞

If Cypress College can't see your transcript from their own school, says a lot about that school....

Because this is my first semester at Cypress so all my grades are still in progress. I finished all my prerequisites at another college. I uploaded my transcripts from other schools and a screenshot of Cypress's transcripts and all my grades said in progress on their transcript

Now that's different. Most schools won't take in progress subjects.

I finished all my prerequisite and GE. I am taking other biology classes at Cypress for biology major, not for nursing. At the comment section they said I got 28 points but couldn't see my transcript from Cypress College.

they rejected you for something that is irrelevant for the nursing program? where do find their multicriteria for the program anyways (how did you get 28 points)?

On their website they have the multicriteria. Maximum 15 points for the prerequisites biology class(anatomy, physiology and Microbiology. A-5 points, B-3 points, C-1 point), maximum 10 points for GE and up to 5 points for additional criteria. I have 4.0 science prerequisites, finished all the GE, CNA(but without work experience), volunteer at hospitals and clinics, bilingual. They only give me 3 points for the additional criteria.

Yes😭I am taking cell&molecular biology, ochem and calculus 2. These are not for nursing prerequisites.

that's messed up. try other schools as well. you will get in somewhere. I'm just going to throw in my application next cycle just for backup, not really as main.

how did you even end up as an alternate with those stats?

I guess they went through tiebreakers and my GPA didn't make it. I wish they showed where I would be on the alternate list but I feel like its ranked differently.
