I am set to graduate next Summer and have started looking for positions. I plan to apply to a couple fellowships/residencies. I know I will not be ready to practice on my own when I graduate and need a solid educational transition to practice. If I do not get accepted into one of the programs, I am thinking about applying at CVS. For new NP grads that started their careers with CVS, how was it? How long did you train under a mentor before you were on your own?
I did one of my clinical rotations at CVS - you are entirely on your own to not miss any red flags. I believe the orientation is something like 6-8 shifts with a bit of online training for charting. If you aren't certain of your skills yet, it may not be the best position for you.

Hello all,
I am set to graduate next Summer and have started looking for positions. I plan to apply to a couple fellowships/residencies. I know I will not be ready to practice on my own when I graduate and need a solid educational transition to practice. Thanks in advance.
