Hello everyone! Just made a thread to update each other on the application process and any other useful information anyone may want to share ? Such as what are your stats? Did you apply anywhere else? Information on the program?

Did anyone else see there is a Summer 2023 Cohort being opened in the end of May? Maybe they're doing 2 cohorts and letting in double the amount of people!

Really? Where did you see this?

I believe they already made their acceptances for Summer 2023. People were talking about it on the fall 2022 thread.

Oh maybe! I was on the website and saw it but knew they didn't have a separate application for it

Hi Everyone! If we didn't get an email regarding an interview, should we assume we didn't get in? LOL, it would be nice to get a rejection letter at least. It would help calm my nerves a bit haha.

I also wasn't aware there was interviews either! Has anyone else gotten a rejection or acceptance without interview?

From what I've read on previous threads for csun ABSN, every year, their purpose for holding interviews is different. I've read that one year, interviews were used as a tie breaker for candidates who had similar stats to eachother, other years it seemed like it was offered to only a few people, some cohorts said they did not have interviews at all, some years apparently it was given for people who didn't have healthcare experience in the past 24 months listed on their application. People also said that they were asked to do interviews (video submission) but that they were never even watched at all. That's the thing that's so confusing, csun won't tell people what determines if someone gets an interview or not. I heard that their admissions process is extremely disorganized and is mentally stressful on a lot of people for this reason. I've also read from previous years that people who do not get interviews still get accepted. Like I said I'm not sure what exactly this means and how true all of this info is, but this is just some of the stuff I've gathered from reading about prior years experience! I'm extremely stressed too but hope y'all hang in there and good luck to those interviewing! ?

^^^ this is all true I have read the same from previous cohort threads.

Thank you for the feedback! Good to know.

Side note, does anyone happen to know what other schools offer Accelerated BSN programs without requiring the TEAS exam?

Does anyone know that when we upload our interview to YouTube, if we are allowing it to be viewed by the public or is it private?

There's an "unlisted" option! They told us to choose that!

Anyone nervous about the interview? I wonder what our chances are even if we got an interview invite since there are so many mixed decisions on what happens in the end ://

Congrats on the interview! I do think believe applicants who receive video requests have better odds of getting acceptance letters. This is coming from someone who did not receive a video interview, and has also looked at previous threads for this program. I hope this helps! Wishing everyone on this thread the best of luck!

Been trying to check my email every morning in hopes there is an update. I'm a Health Sciences major receiving my first Bachelor's degree in May. I do not have CNA experience, but I have worked in a clinical setting, have 120+ volunteering hours. My CSUCI GPA is 3.5. I've been in college longer than I expected and I have been waiting until I had the requirements completed to apply to nursing programs. I haven't received an email about an interview so makes me even more nervous. Just going to stay positive. Good luck everyone with your endeavors!
