Yeah, the orientation I went to the first time I got accepted mentioned that they give us a few weeks to learn basic skills before they put us in the hospital. :)
I mean it's still very early because CSULA doesn't get to do clinicals until second semester. Haha, been doing some stalking on Instagram and boy, these nursing students really don't like writing care plans

Hahaha my best friend is in a program right now & she was complaining about that too. I guess it's a lot of work.

Yeah I read somewhere that throughout the whole program, they wrote 1500 pages of care plans lol
It was more competitive "applicant"-wise. Yes there were more applicants but stats were lower than this years. Average rating was beyond 10 while all other years were below 10
I think that the stats for Fall 2016 include the 2 points we earned on the communication exercise, and the past year's stats do not have those 2 points included. So in reality the rating average for Fall 2016 was 9.95-9.45. Fall 2015 was more competitive since SON had more applicants and accepted 70 not 80 and their average rating was a bit higher.
Hi fellow Alternates!
I did some digging around, and it looks like CSULB SON will start contacting alternates through e-mail & phone on May 1st, deadline for intent to enroll. I don't want to be on my toes expecting a call without any deadline or promises.. so hopefully this info gives all of us some relief . Good luck to all of us! :)
