I am a pre-nursing student applying for some CSU nursing schools for Fall of 2019! CSULB is my #1 choice, but I had a question about the chemistry requirement. I attend Cypress College currently, and the counselor there told me that I had to take Chem 101 AND 201 for CSULB. The science course equivalency list on the CSULB nursing website confirms this, but there is also an option to complete a 4-5 unit general chemistry course (111A or 111B). Because I have changed my major a few times before deciding on nursing, I have completed all 3: Chem 101, 111A, and 201 (in that order). But on the actual nursing application, there is only one line for the chemistry course. So my question is, which grade/class do I put on the application and use to calculate my points? This is important to me because I have all A's in my GE and science requirements, but I have a B in Chem 101 because I took it very early on in my college career and slacked off a bit because I wasn't in the "must get A's" mindset I am now as a pre-nursing student. I would really hate for that one careless B to severely impact my chances and significantly lower my points.
I emailed the CSULB SON as well and I plan on giving them a phone call or trying to get there in person to get some clarification. I just wanted to post something on here to maybe get me answers sooner. Thanks in advance for any help!
