Hi, I’ve searched allnurses for posts for CSULA’s fall 2020 psych NP program and haven’t found any, so I’m starting a post for those of us who have applied to this upcoming fall semester.
Anyone received their interview for this Friday, March 6th?

I just wanted to update my post. I interviewed On 3/6 and received my acceptance letter on Wednesday, 3/18/20. I wasn’t sure if they would still proceed with sending the letters with everything that’s going on with Covid-19. I’m very grateful to be starting in the fall. I will update my posts as the process progresses just in case anyone has questions about the program and process like I did.

I received an invitation for the interview on March the 3. Had my interview on Friday March the 6th. Received my acceptance on Wednesday 3/18. Will update as details to the process as well.

That’s awesome! Congratulations! We will be classmates

Hi guys!
First of all, congratulations!!
I’m in the process of signing up for a RN-BSN program and then later will be applying into psych np programs

I'm thinking about doing wgu for the quickest route but with pass/fail they only give 3.0 credit.
can you share your guys’ stats so I can know potentially how the admissions stats look?

thanks so much!!

Congratulations on your path to your BSN! I’m not sure about other programs, but CSULA requires an overall GPA of 3.0. My GPA was 3.2. I have 3 years RN experience The GPA is based of your nursing GPA and your GPA from your BSN. If WGU gives 3.0 if you pass, as long as your overall GPA is 3.0 or greater, you should be fine. Feel free to ask anymore questions.

Thanks for your response! Can you tell me what you know about csula's psych program? is it online mostly? Do they find clinical sites for you? Any other information you know about it would be great! Just starting to do my research now and didn't find much about the program other than the roadmap of units.

Hello! I'm currently waiting to hear back from the ABSN program, and I'm interested in the psych NP Program after! Did anyone come from the ABSN program? What's the competitiveness of this program? Why did you choose this specialty?

am applying next year! what kind of questions did they ask during your interview?
