Hi all! This question goes to all potential applicants to CSU Fullerton's Fall 2022 ABSN program, but what documentation deems as verification of "Proficiency in a Second Language"?
PROFICIENCY IN A SECOND LANGUAGE (OPTIONAL)
(10 POINTS POSSIBLE)
Applicants who are skilled in a language other than English will be awarded points on their application. There will be more information on this optional area within the Nursing application. All documentation is subject to verification and approval.
Native Speaker: You grew up speaking a language other than English, or in a bilingual home.
Fluent: You can keep up in almost any conversation in that language.
Proficient: Your vocabulary may still be limited (you might need a translation dictionary), but you have a good understanding of verb tenses and sentence structure.
Conversational: You have basic language ability, such as the ability to order food or get directions.
Has anyone heard back regarding admission? I interviewed a few weeks back but haven’t heard anything since. Just wanted to see if that’s the same case for others.
I was just looking at the CSUF ABSN 2021 page and it seems they received their decisions by email on April 16th. Hopefully we will get ours by tomorrow or Monday??
Me too. I was denied by CSULA so I felt really lucky to get an interview invitation from CSUF… but I didn’t feel confident about how my interview turned out. I’m super nervous and my heart drops at every email notification.
Do you guys know anyone in the CSUF ABSN program right now, and did they say what it was like? I know at 24 months it’s quite a bit longer than other ABSN programs which are usually 15 months. Just curious!

Looking at past forums, it seems like results are sent about two weeks after interviews, so I think towards the end of next week hopefully.
