CSUDH MEPN Fall 2012

Hi everyone! I just wanted to start a thread for those of us who are apply to start the CSUDH MEPN program for Fall of 2012!! I have followed some of the past threads and am excited to FINALLY start applying!!

Hi Everyone! I hope everyone is doing well...now it's time for the waiting game. I turned my portfolio therefore I will get points off which I guess I wasn't paying attnd when they said that. Congrats on the interview. Let us know how it goes. When isyour interview? I'm hoping I hear from them so and I get an interview. I think a lot of people applied, but did not turn in a portfolio therefore I'm hoping that's to our advantage. It's a lot to through for an application progress, but I really want to go there. I have yet to take patho, so I'm hoping to take it before I start the program. How about everyone else?

Do you mean you did not turn in a portfolio? I had my interview today. Now that wait TRULY has begun!!

That's awesome! Congrats! How long was it? I did turn it in, but late....so she said i get points take off...how much she doesn't know. I'm hoping I get a call for an interview next week...cross fingers. Did you apply any where else?

So I have some newwssss.... I called the SON today and was told that we should be expecting an admissions decision in the mail in the upcoming weeks!! Yesterday was the LAST day to turn in a portfolio, so applications are OVER! they also said they are looking at about 70 applicants for this cohort.

No I haven't hear back anything. Every day my I get an email I am hoping it is them. Have you done patho? or completed your cna?

How did your interview go? How long was it if you don't mind sharing?

Hey Star28,

I have my CNA certification but have not completed patho. My interview was very easy, they ask everyone the same set of questions. I believe the whole process was about 1 hour.

Keep POSITIVE! I applied to CSUN, CSUDH and Western University. Where did everyone else apply?

I should of applied to western, but I just figured I was applying everywhere, but now I regret not applying to Western. I applied to MSMC, CSULA, CSUDH, and a couple of JC's. I should of also applied to CSUN and UCLA, but I just didn't. After I attend the CSUDH I felt it was for me! They have everything I want in a school as well as CSULA, but I haven't heard back from CSULA either ;/ When did you go for the info at CSUDH?

by info do you mean workshop? I attended the July 7th, 2011 workshop! I said October earlier, but I just checked and was mistaken! That couuulldd be why i had an earlier interview?? What workshop did you attend?

I went September I believe. I know they cancelled one. Well when we get in we will be taking patho together. ;0) When I did talk to someone over the phone they told me that a lot of people applied, but not a lot of people turned in the portfolio. Last year or the year before that....they got like 200 or so portfolio for 50 spots I believe so I think that's a better shot than UCLA. There is so much you have to do just to be considered, so I feel that's why many people don't apply. It's better for us. I'm trying to stay positive I just wait by the phone ;/
