CSUB RN-BSN

Hello,

I have yet to run across a thread regarding CSUB's RN-BSN program, with current or past alumni. Would anyone in the program or anyone who has completed the program care to share their experience with the online classes, on site clinicals (like days and sites, rotation), or any advice. I will be starting this June 2014. I'm excited, a little nervous, and getting ready to begin. Thank you

I'm looking to enroll in this program in the future. How is it going? I would love to hear about all of the things you were asking about in your original post!

Well I just finished my second quarter, I am half way there! Summer quarter is intense, because it is only six weeks but the work load reflects 10 weeks worth. A lot of research, papers, and discussions. Second quarter involves the clinical component and clinical sites reflect where you live. They try to schedule your clinical site as close as possible, but you are in groups of 10, so anywhere from bakerfield, a little up north, to Tehachapi. First two days of clinical are in bakersfield for orientation. Second quarter is less intense with reseach papers than first but of coorifice you will have to dedicate that one day a week on the field and do different type of research. Also you get to know some of your classmates better since you will be interacting with them in person rather than on line for this part of the program.

The professors are very helpful, they want you to succeed. The whole class is approximately 40 students. I feel i made the right choice :)
