I am wondering if I should expect any correspondence before October? Such as a confirmation letter or my score or anything? Does anyone know?

@CED10 I received a letter from Stanislaus State last week (not the nursing department or anything) just stating that my app had been received and to create a password for the online portal. Since I graduated from there I already had a password, though. Has everyone received that letter also? Before the program sent the email about applying online, I also received an email stating that my application was complete.

Yes I got two letters from CSUS and I also graduated from there. They were the same as you described. One said it was from the graduate school but I called and they said since I am trying for a second bachelors degree that is normal. Where will you be traveling to Stockton from? I'm in Turlock.

I would be traveling from Gustine which is by Los Banos. About an hour drive so not too bad!

Hi everyone! I'm planning to apply for cohort 8 and was just wondering if anyone knew if you could have a course in progress while applying. On the website it says two different things : "All ten (10) prerequisites courses must be completed at the time of application to the program. Students must successfully complete all prerequisites with a minimum grade of C." and "All prerequisites must be completed by the time the program starts." and then here as well: "CSU STANISLAUS: Students will be enrolled in the pre-licensure program each fall and spring. At least four (4) of the prerequisite courses must be completed at the time of application to the program, including at least 2 science prerequisite courses and at least 2 non-science prerequisites. Remaining prerequisite courses may be in progress at the time of the nursing application, and one course may be taken in the summer prior to Fall entry. Evidence of completion or work in

progress is required for the application. A final grade of "C" or better in any outstanding course is required to enter the program." Does anyone have any insight? Thank you so much!

There are different requirements for the traditional program at the Turlock campus versus the Stockton ASBSN. Which are you applying to?

Thank you! You're so nice haha! I just need sociology. I have an intro anthro class, but I don't think it can be substituted (I emailed them and they haven't responded). Also, do you know when the next application period is? Is it April 15 - August 10 like it says on here on the ABSN roadmap: https://www.csustan.edu/sites/default/files/groups/Accelerated%20Second%20Bachelor%20of%20Science%20in%20Nursing/uee_asbsn_roadmap_2017.pdf. I'm not sure bc it seems like it might be old! I can't find anywhere if they admit fall and spring or just spring and also when you apply to CSU? Thanks!

I don't work for the school or anything, but in doing my research this is what I know to be true...... :) the ASBSN program that is in Stockton but part of CSU Stanislaus starts once a year in January. The application period is a short window in the Summer prior. For example, this year it was Aug 1-Aug 10, 2017 to start Jan 2018. In prior years the application window has been longer. For the Sociology, you could easily pick that up as an online class at one of the local junior colleges. I would be surprised if they would sub the anthro class for socio, but always worth a try. I'm happy to help if you have more questions. I'm getting excited/nervous to hear if I am in for cohort 7 :)
