Looking for others who applied to the CSU Fresno ELM CNS/Nurse Educator program that starts May 2012!

I can't send private messages. I haven't taken the TEAS nor have I heard from Fresno about scheduling it :( How about you?? I'm so anxious......

Yes, I am in my last semester in the BSN program. I absolutely am so grateful for coming this far. There are excellent instructors who will guide you from start to finish. They really emphasize "upper/higher" nursing semester students to help the newbies; because nursing is a whole different process from "college" in itself and everyone (staff and nursing students) are truly all there to help each other out.

Clinical sites can go as far from Hanford area (in OB) to Tulare area (for areas of community health nursing) and some few sites in Madera area as well. The program itself has gone through a few changes but I don't know too much info about that....

Overall it is a great program. And as in all nursing school, be prepared to study and work hard. Oh...and make great friends early on...these are the people who will truly only really understand what exactly you are going through with nursing school :)

Thank you for telling us about your experience. Do you know if the ELM students have the same nursing instructors as the BSN students? When I called she made it sound like they were going to place the the ELM students with the BSN students during this cohort but I'm not sure. I hope so... Sounds like you had great instructors! What days/hours are the classes/clinicals? Are they on the weekend too?

Has anyone heard from Fresno's nursing department about being accepted or not yet?

I was told by the nursing admissions director yesterday that decisions have yet to be made and that we may not receive any information until next week. Hopefully, we'll know by May 1st!

i just received my acceptance letter today too!! yay! are you from fresno or somewhere else? im from socal and im so stressed about finding a place to live within two weeks and settle in!!! :o!!!!!

Congrats!!!! I live in San Diego! What part of SoCal are you from? Don't stress.. We will figure it out!:) I will send you an email with helpful information that I received from a student in the current ELM CNS cohort! Congrats ladies!!!:yeah: I hope to receive some good news as well some time this week; my confidence is waning... Apparently there was an admissions meeting last Wednesday and another is to be held this Wednesday.
