No, unites states is the only country where nurses can do anesthesia. In canada as well as other countires, only doctors can do anesthesia.

I've find your info posted here so intresting.. I am a student for RN program in Canada and I really am intrested in anesthesia and OR as a future obtion . So I did not know that is nothing "official " re this specialistion!

Hi there,

as far as i know this is something where preliminarly studies are being undertaken -- i have found some information on it. there is also an A.A. program offered at Michener Institutue. this is nowhere near the same as CRNA. I believe the CNO has posted an answer to an enquiry about this program on their website as well.
