Hey I was wondering if there are any CRNAs in the Baltimore City area that would be willing to allow me to shadow them as a requirement for my CRNA application. I currently work at Union Memorial on their critical are unit but am about to switch to their CVICU unit. I have been an ICU nurse for two and a half years and have my CCRN. I am really interested to learn more about the profession. Thank you!Heather

it seems its extremely hard to get a shadow opportunity with a CRNA. I harassed the administrator till I got a call back to shadow. Keep calling and get on their nerves. haha.

Walk down to surgery and as to talk to the Chief Anesthetist. You may get better results by asking the people you want to shadow.

Hi there,
I have a simple question to ask in regards to shadowing a CRNA. So how will schools know that you shadowed a crna? Did you include them in a resume, personal statement/essay, or interview or did a crna write a letter of proof or anything? I shadowed 2 MDAs and 4 CRNAs for 2 days 13 hours total at my hospital.
I just included it in my personal Statement. Some schools have a form for the person to fill out
My program required a form to be filled out by the CRNA you shadowed. One of the references needed to be from the CRNA you shadowed.

I was asked during my interview.
Sounds like a mix. All right, thanks for the answers everyone!
