completely depends on the type of job. it might increase over time as an ordinary employee, or it could go down due to supply and demand. as an independent contractor you may even have the ability to set your own hourly wage depending on the situation, and how much control you really want.
I thought I would interject that I had a neighbor who quite readily stated her comp was $200k in a plastic surgery office, and this was in Atlanta, GA.
But as others have stated, one would think this would depend on the medical setting's environment-whether it be urban hospital, stand-alone ('cream-skimmers,' for-profit entities who seem to do one set of procedures all the time), teaching hospital, etc.
There was an article in *The Wall St. Journal* not long ago stating their comp. is generally in the range of $125k,+ what do others say?

As a CRNA how does your salary progress throughout your career. For example if a new grad started out with a $150,000 salary what would their salary be in 5,10,15,20,25 years?
