Hi all...I am considering making a career change to nursing. I am 32 and have a degree in microbiology which I haven't worked in that for a couple of years and want to explore a nursing career to get "back to the people" element of life I guess you could say. My question is about online programs...are graduates of these programs regarded as highly as "traditional students"? I would be getting a nurses education on a part time basis as I must work and have a 9 mo old and an online prgram would fit well with that lifestyle.
Currently I can get an LPN education for free at a couple local tech schools and then figure out to get an RN designation after I am working in the field.
