Can anyone tell me if a mental health ACT team is required to hold BLS credentials? Everyone on the team go into the community and visit clients in their home, PCH etc. I would consider them to be healthcare professionals regardless of licensing requirements.

Even if it isn't legally required, it seems like a good idea. You never know what you're going to walk in on, especially when you're visiting people in their homes. Even if you have to pay out of pocket, CPR training isn't terribly expensive. Be sure to ask your employer about paying for it, or finding someone to offer the training to your coworkers as a group.

their employer may have liability issues as well as not wanting to pay for the courses. Hopefully, everyone knows to call for help (911 in USA). My personal opinion is that you should have basic CPR certication for your own family and friends if not for your clients.
