CPR cert. cost?

I am just wondering how much (if anything) it cost to become CPR certified for everyone else. To be accepted into any of our nursing programs (LPN/RN) we have to be certified. I just *assumed* it would be free because back at home, it is. Out here in CT it cost $50.00.

I did AHA at our YMCA for $28 on a Saturday.....9-3 supposed to be, but we got out by 1!
