Hey!
I just got home from a wonderful CPNE workshop weekend, all of my EC studying has been alone, just the same as most of us on here. This weekend I was able to meet with other EC students, share learning experiences and gauge each others knowledge base, it was great.
I chose the workshop in Atlanta mainly because of the timing, my CPNE date is coming up real soon, and I need to get er done. Now that the workshop is finished I was more then happy with my decision. This was a very intense three day workshop, critical elements, hands on labs, grids, hints to what the examiner might be looking for and what might be common causes for failing a PCS or lab. That and lots and lots of care plans, even home work care plans.
Then there was the recommended hotel, I was kind of figuring they may have made arrangements with the local flea bag motel...NOPE brand name hotel with all of the bells and whistles. A studio apartment for about half of what you would normally pay, and a shuttle to the workshop.
Now please don't get me wrong, I am not endorsing any one workshop, but if you have a CPNE date coming up soon, it would be a very good idea to try and attend one and get as much information from them as possible.
