CPNE Site in Phoenix

hi everyone!

i just passed nc 6 last week, and am now on nc 7. i've completed all of my general education requirements so this is my final course. after nearly 3 years this stage seems surreal. i would be able to bask in my glow a little more if i didn't have the dang cpne looming ever large in front of me. :eek: i started reading threads about it a couple of months ago and have been feeling nervous ever since. i know its 25% knowledge and 75% stress control to get through it. i get that! :rolleyes:

i live in so. cal. and am considering taking the cpne in phoenix because i've heard that is a pleasant site to take it at. has anyone ever tested there and what was their experience? any other sites in the near vicinity (to so. cal.) i should check out? and, obviously the wait time to get an appt. is a critical factor. i think its terrible that it takes up to six months. maybe they need to facillate creating more testing centers (??)

I myself didn't test in Phoenix, but I have heard great things about the site and do know one person personally who tested there and was real happy with how things were run.

I am in a similar situation - I take NC6 on March 30th and then have NC7 left.

I heard that the waiting list is long for the CPNE, but I have been told to inquire about a "standby" list. Some stud buds have been able to get in earlier because they were on that list. Check out a website called alittlesarcasm.com - it has a bunch of testimonials from students that have taken the CPNE at various sites. They basically describe their experiences and opinions. Perhaps it would give you some insight.

I don't think the CPNE site in Phoenix is active anymore.

I sent my CPNE app in December for the WPAC (Long Beach/San Diego), and got the letter asking me to pick another site or wait a year or more. I picked Dallas (Plano), and I'm getting dates from May-July. FYI.

I don't know anything about any CPNE sites other than Columbus. My EC advisor said that they are currently scheduling for July in Columbus and that most other sites waits are comparable. Most have said what site you chose depends on what you are looking for and that you will get out of it what you put into it. I only wish I knew myself that bugger is a major stressor for all EC students. Congrats for all you have accomplished and for all that you will accomplish. You can and will do great.

thanks for your input medic2rn. yes, i am familiar with alittlesarcasm.com. i had heard of it through this website. i decided i will read the testimonials a little closer to the time of my cpne. it will probably make more sense to me then! :specs: i have already ordered some videos off of ebay. i purchased a set of 5. when i received them i noticed they were 10 years old. oh well, hopefully things haven't changed too dramatically since then. of course, on the ebay ad they didn't state how old they were. guess ya havta be real careful on that stuff! thanks for your good wishes! :p
