Has anyone ever taken the CPNE while pregnant or shortly after giving birth? I have LS3 to take yet and will (hopefully) be eligible for the March FCCA. We continue to go back and forth about wanting another baby soon and waiting to finish the program. But, if I wait until being done with CPNE before even trying to conceive, I'm looking at 2+ years before giving birth. I'm just concerned about dealing with the pressure of that weekend while potentially being pregnant, not to mention the travelling. Anyone been through this or have any input?

I have known a few people who have done it in late pregnancy, like 30+ weeks. They said they felt like marshmallows in the white scrubs. :) It can be done! Your call, of course.

I was 6 months pregnant when I passed the CPNE (with no repeats) in Chambersburg, June 2013. The college was very accommodating with my high risk pregnancy. If you're pregnant at the time of the CPNE, they will have you and your doctor fill out a disability form with your application. My doctor wrote very specific instructions as to when I needed to rest, eat, use the restroom, etc. All of the CE's and CA were very nice and happy to accommodate his orders.
As for dealing with the anxiety of the CPNE, I just made sure I was very well prepared. I studied like crazy for 3 months, took a workshop, a couple of excelsiors online prep courses, and prayed my butt off. Lol! My husband and I drove to PA, since I wasn't aloud to fly. The weekend is stressful, but it flies by. I passed the CPNE the last week of June, graduated the first week of August, passed the nclex the second week of September and had my baby Oct 1st. It was stressful, but I was determined to get it all done before my daughter was born. Good luck to you! :)

I am CPNE bound, looking forward to taking it in march and am seven weeks pregnant, I figured I wouldn't be too far along by then but then even if I was, like Pixie TN said, it's doable and JSRC, thanks for sharing, at least, we'll know what to do if we got as far along as you we're .
