cpne dates

I passed the FCCA, and now have a 3-4 month wait for my CPNE for NY!

UGH! I didn't want to wait THAT long. Oh well. I guess it will give me more time to take workshops. My only concern is that the study guide changes in Oct. Does anyone know anything about this???

Keep calling Jan, call everyday if you have to. People cancel all the time and believe me they want to fill those spots up first. They called me twice in one day offering a cancel spot in August.

The changes in the study guide become effective for people testing on or after October 7th. I think it mainly has to do with care planning, like you have to use two actions instead of be allowed to have the option of using one assessment, and something to do with evaluation form. I have not looked it but the summary of changes is posted on EC that is just what I heard from Sheri.

Only you will know when you will be ready to test. I am glad I had 4 months to prepare for the CPNE, I know people have done it in less time but for me it's perfect, I don't feel rushed and I have really had time to read and re-read the study guide and use alot of different resources to prepare, and I truly believe it will pay off.

Good luck Jan, you will do great no matter WHEN you test. :-)
