CPCC Nursing Program Fall 2017

Published

Hey there!

Has any one applied to the nursing program at CPCC and waiting back? Oh, the anxiety! I think it will be this week! I hope my scores were good enough my TEAS were not impressive but I am hoping my total application points will kind of make up for that.

I was thinking it was for the end of this week that notification! I didn't know it was sent Friday:)

Acceptance letters are out! I got in as well. My overall Teas was a 74.3, my reading was 78.7, math was 87.5, total application points was 59. Having all the prerequisites helps with the overall application score.

I am currently in the program. If you need any tips of help with anything feel free to ask me!

Hi! I just found out that I got in to the spring 2018 program. I am super nervous about the cost... and I can't wait until the orientation in 10/25 to find out because I need to apply for loans. Can you tell me how much was due for for tuition for the first semester? And if that $1100 book fee they mentioned is due all at once? Also, is the four semesters back to back or do you just go in fall and spring, taking summers off? They said the program is two years but really if you're going spring, fall and summer, it's only a little over a year. Lastly, what color are the scrubs we have to buy? Thanks for your help!

Congrats! So there will be a guy at orientation that should be there to talk about applying for scholarships. Talk to him. Email him. He will help! Im in third semester now so some stuff might have changed but not drastically. You will need to pay the entire book price up front. Tuitions varies because some people got aid some got scholarships. Tuition is 75$ a credit hour to times that by whatever the amount is you are taking and then add about 200 for lab fees, computer fees, parking and other stuff. You do have summers off so it is 2 years. There are scrub people that come to the school to show you what to buy. It's white a top and black bottoms. The top has to be bought through the School because of the embroidery

Thank you for the information! That helps a lot. I know all of these questions will be answered at orientation but time is of the essence when possibly having to plan for loans and job schedules at the end of the year. The only other question I have is, what is the first couple of semesters like? I have to take A&P again because my credits are too old but that's the only other class aside from the first nursing class that I'll have to take in he first semester. I am just wanting to know if it is possible to work when you are taking a class with clinicals. Idk if every cohort has the same schedules for each cycle but I'm trying to plan ahead so that I can find a job with night shift if needed, ASAP. Thanks again for your help!
