I applied last week. I had a 91% overall, %90 reading, %100 math. I am a transfer student with 9 Gen Ed points. I hope this will be sufficient!!! Studying for the TEAS test sucked. I don't remember having to study such a broad amount of material ever in my life.
I don't think the Gen Ed points really matter at all. They take the top 50 TEAS scores period, and that is it. IF #'s 45-60 happen to tie with say a %75, then they will look at the Gen Ed points and accept those with the most.
When i spoke with lady on the nursing admissions committee, she said that they usually get about 150 applications twice a year. She also mentioned that acceptance notifications will be in October...
I applied to CHS for spring 14 & got denied. Their application requirements are completely different than CPCC. They strictly go by Cum. GPA & SAT/ACT scores.
Wow @mcapmike those teas scores are really good! I really had a hard time with that test. I have been out of high school for 10 years and forgot most of that material. I went in to speak to the nursing advisor and she saw my teas scores and said if she were me she would hand in the application anyway which gave me some hope. I disagree with the fact that they think if you don't do we'll in the teas you are going to have a hard time In the program. I took micro biology and anatomy 2 this past semester and got an A in both. Mercy school of nursing has there application deadline for October 1st so I am going to apply there as well. Their semester will start in may 2014. I am using this for my back up plan.

Hello everyone!! I just handed in my application for the 2014 spring semester at central piedmont community college. I was wondering if anyone else has handed in their application and would like to share there teas scores as well as their points. I am super nervous. I am also going to apply for mercy school of nursing as well. I hear that there program is awesome. Cpcc has really high standards for the teas exam, so I'm worried my scores won't be good enough. My over all individual adjusted score is a 75%. My math is an 87%, science 75%, and reading is an 81%. I have 17 points overall with straight A's.
