Covid Vaccine question for other nurses

Published

Hello I received the first dose of Pfizer vaccine at CVS last week. The nurse gave me the shot in the deltoid but when the syringe came out I noticed there was still a lot more liquid in the syringe. She kept pushing the needle and it was squirting all over the floor. I didn't say anything because I was unsure if that was normal but when I left I thought wow did I even get the full injection? I called and questioned the head pharmacist and he said he spoke with the nurse who administered and she said with those particular syringes she had to put in extra solution and it happened to everyone that day.

Is that normal? it seemed like a lot of extra liquid left over that she squirted out. I still don't feel right about this. I'm wondering if my deltoid rejected It and she didn't realize or didn't know what to do? Is the nurse lying to not lose her job? Just wanted to see if anyone else has seen this or is doing this. Should I get another shot? This was my first dose. Thanks
