Do you mean nursing refresher and/ or continuing nursing education?
There are a variety of continuing nursing education courses some are free others have a fee.
If you want a skills refresher or update those courses generally have a fee. Some nursing schools offer continuing education classes such as working with enteral feeds (PEG, GT, G-button, NG tube, J tube, GJ tube), various formulas/diets, common enteral feed pumps (Kangaroo, infinity, etc) or classes in IV and central lines, TPN, PICC lines.
It depends on where you are working. In an acute care hospital, the nursing education department often offers classes and continuing education.
Taking Pediatric Advanced Life Support or Neonatal Resuscitation Program will be of little value working in geriatrics, long term care or subacute rehab, adult ICU. NRP is only helpful for a labor& delivery or NICU position.
A home care adult nurse will have little use for ACLS, tPA or TNCC classes.

Good afternoon,
just want to ask which courses are recommended after a longer time of non refreshing some coursework.
What do you suggest at least to have done when starting new? I applied for home health care, but there maybe some general courses which are likely seen at the application? My license is valid, but I want also to refresh my knowledge.
Thank you!
