I am working on Repo now and hope to test in a couple of weeks. I have Repo, Transition, LS 1,2,3 and finally FCCA and CPNE left. I have the basic core of books Fundamentals, Pediatrics, Pham, Phipps Med/Surg. I spoke briefly with EC and they said more books are needed for the Lifespan series of exams, but we never got back to that portion of the conversation. Anyone know off the top of their head what more is needed? I was really hoping I would be done with the nickle & diming by now! I did get my Saunder's NXLEX and it is amazing! Love it! Also, they sent me a spread sheet for the $ of the exams, etc. And is FCCA $130 X 3? It seems to broken down into 3 care plans? It is a very basic and hard to understand form. Thanks much!

its listed on the Free content guides for each exam...i just did LS1 and passed, it was mostly the Med surg, and pharmacy book...i'm on LS2 right now and it's mental health nursing text, med surg, and pharm mostly...umm the newer content guides switched to a new med surg book not the phipps one...not sure it really matters but i did upgrade to the newer med surg book that's listed in the content guids...that all changed in sept.
What did you think of the new Med/Surg book, is it a huge improvement over the last? I don't care for Phipps at all, but really don't want to get the new one unless it is a dramatically different. I am so anxious to get to the LS exams! I would love to push the Repo test up to Mid Dec!
i never really looked through the phipps, as the change came in sept i saw the new book and went on ebay and looked for it...mine is a two volume med surg book, i got the 11th edition and paid $25 on ebay for it, plus a study guide for free! =) that is the only book i upgraded since so much of the info comes from it on these exams...it's OKAY to read, not difficult but not horrible to read!
