Hi all I have been lurking on the site for awhile and decided to join today after my interview a correctional facility in Fl. First I want to say thanks for all the information, I went to the interview sans make-up and in scrubs. I was glad I did, as I was entering the building a work detail was returning and some of the inmates started to yell. The CO yelled RESPECT, they started to sing! I showed no reaction and just like I figured I was being observed by the Nurse supervisor. I of course messed up a few questions would you believe, I was asked if I knew how to SOAP chart. 28 years of nursing... I laughed and said if she hummed a few bars I could probably figure it out. She replied it was the best answer she had ever heard and I would work out just fine. So I guess the saying as long as you have a pulse....:heartbeat. It's a senior LPN position and I have my choice of 11-7 or 7-3. Any suggestions? Is the work load easier nights or is it any excuse to come to the clinic?
