What exactly is this device and what protocol do you use if you need to access for blood draws?

Hi I know this post is old but I hope someone still following on it. I have question about these catheters: Do you have to always have something infusing through them to keep them open. Can you hep lock one of their lumens or will you lose this lumen/port if it is hep locked?
