Hi Everyone!
I am super excited to be interviewing for the 2016 February Cohort and wanted to know if there was anyone out there just as nervous/excited! I read all the different posts from previous cohorts and found it funny that there were not any posts for our cohort yet! I use this site all the time and just never registered, but here I am now :)
Overall I have learned that the interview is pretty challenging, at least it will be or me D-: I have never had a panel interview for a job before! Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!!

HI :)
To prepare for my interview I googled "common nursing interview questions" and did mock interviews with my friends. At my school we also had opportunities to schedule mock interviews with staff and they gave us a set of questions as well to practice. So the best advice I can give you is practice, practic, practice. This will help alleviate jitters and make you more confident the day of the interview. Below is a list I made and they aren't the same exact questions you may be asked but if you practice a response to these I think you will do great:
Describe a time when a coworker or faculty member made an unpopular decision and how did you go about it?
What does patient care mean to you?
Why did you pick your chosen career?
What interested you in this particular position?
Tell me about a time when you have gone above and beyond for someone you worked with.
Tell me about a time you had an issue/conflict with a coworker.
If I called your last employer what is one thing they would tell me you are good at, and one thing they would tell me you need to improve?
Describe a time you demonstrated coping skills.
Explain a time you had to deal with a difficult patient or family member.
Tell me about a time when you went above and beyond for a patient.
Tell us about a time you provided excellent customer service.
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE HOPE TO MEET YOU ALL SOMEDAY!
