Cook Children's Cohort July 2017

Published

Hi guys! Just wanted to start a thread for the Cook Children's July 2017 Cohort in Fort Worth TX!

It was a panel interview with like 10 behavioral questions then a case study. Pretty different questions.

Thanks for the heads up! Fingers crossed for you!

I had my interview today!! Honestly don't stress, I thought it was easy to come up with different scenarios to answer all their questions. Just have some key ones in mind before you start your interview. As for the case study, it was pretty basic. As long as you've been in the hospital/in a clinical setting, you'll know how to answer what they ask. I was a little thrown off because the scenario was something I had never come in contact with at the hospital before, but I could apply previous knowledge to answer them.

Thanks so much for your input!

I guess I'm just not feeling that confident about mine!! let us know how it goes, good luck!!

Mine is Thursday for med-surg track! Definitely nervous for the case study questions...sounds like this is one of the trickier interviews so I'm kind of glad it is my first one to get it over with! Does anyone know how long they give you to an accept an offer if you get one? I'm worried because I haven't even interviewed for TCH yet and that is my top choice.

@smgaden I'm not sure exactly, but it sounds like a fast turn-around between when they give you and offer/when you have to accept it. It seems like around a week from what I've read on pervious years' forums, which makes me nervous because I haven't heard from other places and am also out-of-state so I'd like time to be able to fly down to see the hospital/shadow an RN before I make my decision.

I heard 24 hours from a current resident. Calls are supposedly going out next week.

from what I have been told from previous cohorts, they should call people who get it on Monday or Tuesday and you get 48 hours to accept or deny. I don't know anything about shadowing or anything :/ sorry!

Good luck everyone! That interview was a little stressful but overall I feel good. Here's to good news next week!

How did it go y'all?

Y'all post if you get a call :)
