Contradictory employer experiences

Published

It seems some of us work for legitimate companies and others work for nightmares.

These lousy experiences, are these with large hospital systems?

I can't imagine a Kaiser, Sutter or UC employee having being mugged and not treated like a employee injury/ workers comp case. Or not being legally compensated.

We have some smaller systems here and never have heard of illegal/unethical practice. I've worked with many traveling therapists and no one has ever mentioned these outrageous stores.

I haven't seen a non justified termination.

I know not everyone loves their work experience but some of the stuff I've read here is such a contrast to mine even having worked for different companies.

I did work for one nurse owned agency and there were improper employer practices but that agency was decertified. (Way back in the day pre PPS) Employees were recruited from a SNF and were lured with higher wages than they were accustomed. They were all in single income homes and put up with terrible treatment. It was pulled on me but I ended at the labor board with a hefty judgment placed. I wasn't stuck amd could go elsewhere but she preyed on less marketable nurses and then abused them.
