Contra Costa College ADN Program

Hello. I also applied for Fall 2016. This is my first time applying to this program. I've applied to a total of 7 schools throughout the Bay Area. Have you received any confirmation from the CC nursing program saying you're eligible for the program lottery? It mentioned in the application packet that within 10-15 days, after application deadline, we should get an email regarding our eligibility. Just wondering do they stick to that. I called them because I wanted to ask if it was okay that I used my English 1B grade because I got a better grade in that class than English 1A, and the guy who I talked to, with the last name of Trinidad, he basically calculated my pre-req GPA and told me that I was eligible for the lottery. I called them because like you, I thought we're supposed to get a confirmation email within 10-15 days after we submit out application. Best of luck to us!! I'm hoping we get in ccc or any other school!

The results are in! I called yesterday and I am in top 30 but they are still determining how many spaces will be available this year. Letters will go out this week!

Hey did you end up getting in either way? I wasn't chosen but I am doing my plan B which is BS in Health Science pre clinical option at cal state east bay. I was told that I can get an ABSN at the same school right after but I wonder if it's going to be easy. I am still applying at CCC and I put my name on the waitlist at Shasta College. If i don't get in CCC, hopefully by the time i finish my BS, it's my turn to start at Shasta. BTW, how many times did you apply before you got in (if you got in)?

@futurnRN this is my second time still not accepted though. I have waitlisted myself at a community college so that even if I still don't get accepted at CCC, I have something waiting for me. What about you?

@ kbear09 I have applied at CCC for about 3 times and were on waitlist 3times but didn't get accepted.

Wait, what? They declined you on the waitlist programs? May I know why? I applied to Shasta and they said it'll take about 2-2 1/2 years before I get in.

@elstiggy89 I have a question. From last years pool, were there a lot of students who ended up getting in from the alternate list? I'm #24 on the alternate and was told that 5 people from alternate list were removed due to TEAS results. Rita, the lady who called me about the test told me that I have a good chance of getting in if I pass my teas.
