A lot of research is available suggesting that nurses are not trained properly in geriatric issues. With the population aging, it is going to be extremely important that nurses are able to care for older adults. After nursing school, much of the training nurses get is through continuing education courses. I am unable to find any continuing education courses specifically directed at nurses who work in long-term care. Does anyone know of any websites that offer continuing education specifically for nurses who work in long-term care?

Western Schools offers many courses on gerontologic nursing. The courses are available in the mail or on line.
Most of the state colleges have at least one on line course on gerontology. Keep looking. You'll find what you need.
