Continue...question military spouse

I took all of my theory exams overseas. Most military bases have a testing site but there were times when I had to delay testing because the site was closed or I would have to drive to another base. If you are in mainland Japan then you'll have up to 3 test sites, I think we have 2 here in Guam.

Well that's cool good to know... Even though I want to finish all my theory tests during the seven months my husband is deployed... So that way if we go overseas ill only have my CPNE to schedule.. By the way how are you doing that?

I already took a workshop and have lots of study material, just waiting on a date. It's not hard to get those test done in 7 months, only thing that will hold you up is FCCA since its now a 8 wk course. Are u in the program yet? Are u a LPN? Here's my email address if you need help in the future. [email protected]

I am an LPN but no I haven't started the program trying to see if I can get into one here on site in the city I am in... I kinda worry about the fact that excelsior isn't excepted everywhere and the price. Are you gonna do your CPNE overseas? Or are you coming back to the states to do that weekend clinical?? I find out in March if I get into the programs here so if its a no go I might start excelsior in April..! But I'm still debating!"/ thanks for the email I'll keep it in my contacts:)

I have to come to the states for CPNE. They have designated sites. Yea, it's a bummer that EC is not accepted everywhere but if you work for a military hospital that wound be a problem for you. I hope it works out.

That's gonna be a crazy expense to come all the way to the states for that weekend only...! Best of luck you! You said it WOULD be a problem if I worked for a military hospital? Can you explain please? I was under the impression that federal government/military bases would be some of the few places where I COULD actually work with an EC degree no problem.

Sorry for typo, I meant you wouldn't as long as you hold at least one license in any of the 50 states and us territory. And yes it's unfortunate that I have to travel back to the states for a weekend but it won't be the first time. Lol, had to do it for the workshop. You may find yourself traveling far for the same thing because EC doesn't have that many CPNE sites. EC has lots of states that will give you a license and there are only a handful that will refuse license. Some just want clinical hours or some nursing experience.
