Contacting the Board of Nursing in Texas

Published

Hello! How will I know if my paper application for RN examination in Texas has been received by the Board of Nursing? I mailed in my application last January 10, 2014 together with a money order for the application fee. I have not yet received a confirmation mail from them. I tried calling but their line is ALWAYS busy. I also tried emailing them at [email protected] but it's been more than a week and still no answer:( I cannot register my fingerprint card as well because it says I have no record at the BON. I have no idea what to do next...:(

Thanks for your help!

i assume that CES was already submitted. I guess it's a case by case basis on how long they process applications. Mine did not take that long, the fingerprinting did though.

Just be patient on calling because that's what i did.

Hello :)

I know there is a place on their website to check the status of your application under the "verification and licensing" link at the top of the main page.

It does take them a little while to update it. I submitted my stuff in late November and they didn't get to my application until mid December. It takes about fifteen business days.

And I have also tried the webmaster email address and someone will eventually respond but by the time someone emailed me back I already had the answer to my question so it's not really the way to go.

I did find that the main phone line is always busy. Try the customer service number, you'll be on hold 15 - 20 mins but i've always had someone answer and they have always been super nice :)

Hope that helps!

Thank you all so much! I really appreciate it. For now, I'll be waiting from my application to be processed. Wish me luck! :)

You can check the status of your application at: https://www.bon.texas.gov/olv/applstatus.html

I sent mine in late December and it took 15 business days (not counting weekends, holidays, & date they put it on) to add the application on there. I called the customer service number and the lady I spoke to let me know they received it. Hope this helps!

They open at 8am. Start calling at 755am you v will get some one on the phone

Thank you all so much! I did receive an email from the webmaster, it says they received it last January 14. So right now I am waiting for 15 business days to pass for the processing.

I tried checking the status of my application on their website but it only says "No records were located for the parameters entered".

The "no records" means that they haven't put it in quite yet. I checked it everyday after 5:00 (ATX time). Once it finally is "located", they will notify the fingerprinting agency that night. You should be able to register the next morning.

Hi! It's been a while but I really want to thank you all for your help! I did what you guys told me and finally, I got my ATT! It feels so surreal and overwhelming. Pray for me and thank you so much for helping me:)
