We are just getting started with consistent staffing with the CNA's. Our nurses are pretty much consistently assigned already. Any suggestions from someone who's been doing it for awhile? How does it work on all 3 shifts when there is less help available and more per diem help is used? How are call outs dealt with? Are the CNA assignments consistent or just the floor they are to work on consistent. Has consistent staffing affected the nurse workload making it easier or more difficult? Do your residents like it and who chooses which staff member is consistently assigned to a resident? Any feedback on this and anything to do with making things more homelike and resident directed is appreciated. What's worked for your home and what hasn't? Thanks.
