SD is not exactly like NorCal, but still... I am an older student pursuing a 2nd Bachelor's. I know someone who graduated at 50+ a couple of years ago and is gainfully employed as an RN who loves her job (not in a hospital BTW, but still making ~$90k). I think the job market is opening up s-l-o-w-l-y and by the time you would be graduating it won't be as bad as it is now (which is better than it was a couple of years ago). JMHO, of course. But no regrets for me thus far, though I am only in my first year.

I'm thinking of apply as second bachelor's to SDSU's BSN program, but I am concerned about the job market in SD.
Would you go into nursing in this market? What kinds of things should I do to make myself more attractive to employers? What do you wish you had known or done?
Thanks so much!
