Considering Leaving M/S for OB

Hey Everyone :)

I am new to allnurses, but have found a lot of good advice here. I have interviewed and shadowed for a very nice OB unit in my area and I really loved the unit and the nurses that were working there. I am hoping that they actually offer me the job! I have over 3 years experience and would be leaving a very busy and chaotic M/S unit for a busy postpartum unit. Has anyone out there gone from Med/Surg to OB and was it a good career choice for you? Can anyone tell me any pros or cons it has had? I am certain that I do not want to do M/S anymore, I want a total change and I found OB to be very interesting in school. Thanks! :redbeathe
