Considering going back to study Nursing, do I have to start again!

Published

Hi,

I was studying Adult Nursing around 6 years ago. Unfortunately I failed my last essay end of my 2nd year in City university.

Where do I stand if I was to pursue the course again? Would I have to start at the beginning?

I'm guessing you are not in the US?

Hi,

No, I live in the UK!

I can't answer your question, but I have one for you. Is it true that in the UK you would only study- as in your example- Adult Nursing? You would not have any pediatric/ OB/ psych education in your program if you specialized in adults?

Back in the day, we had a fair number of nurses who came to the US from the old Soviet-block nations who were educated in just one discipline. They had a very tough time here, and were seldom able to gain licensure. I just wondered if the UK was the same.

(My daughter's boyfriend lives on the Isle of Wight, and she is considering re-locating. She is an OT student right now.)
