I'm currently at a crossroads right now. I want to change my career into something that is more fulfilling mentally and financially. Nursing is a path I'm interested in taking, but I don't know too much about the actual work conditions. I've heard both negative and positives about it. I just don't want to make a crucial decision and not pull through in the end.
I hope someone in the field can give me advice about nursing and how they feel about their career. Maybe I can better assess the situation when I know more about what it takes to become a good nurse and to love it.
Also, if I do consider nursing, what should be my first step other than pursuing my BSN since I have no prior experience.
Thanks

I think if you spend some time reading the thousands of posts in this forum, you'll get an idea of how people feel about nursing. Some love it, some hate it, some are in-between, and some have to check the tea leaves on alternate Thursdays.
At 23, you have not yet begun to cross the road...
