Hello. I am looking to apply to the CT State Community College - Capital Nursing program for the 2025-2026 semester! I have completed the required pre-req's for admission, and completing additional core but not required courses (Ex. A&P II) when the Fall semester opens next week. I'm likely going to apply to more than one selective admissions program to be sure I follow the destiny meant for me.
I'm wondering what everyone's stats are as we all are getting ready to apply to the selective admissions program. Mine are...
A&PI : A
TEAS: 79.3%
Nursing GPA: 3.7
Happy studying, and selective admissions application time fellow students!! I hope this thread proves to be as productive as others have in years past 🙂

Hi there! I am applying to the Fall 2025 ADN program as well. Stats: A&P1-A, TEAS-85.3, Nursing GPA 3.6
We are going to be moving this Summer so I'm actually trying to decide which location I want to apply to. I am leaning towards Gateway but I can't find info confirming they have a day program if anyone knows? The way its worded on their website makes it sound like evening classes only but I'm actually hoping for day classes just due to personal family schedule.
anyways I am very excited, good luck to everyone applying!

Hi! I'm also applying to the Fall 2025 ADN program as well. I've been trying to see like what my ranking would be btw I'm applying to the Gateway program (considering applying to the Norwalk location too but that could just be unnecessary). Also, I seen on a post for the students from 2024 group on here and I think it would be helpful if we all kept each other updated! Like with the acception, orientation, and schedules.
My stats:
A&P 1: A-
TEAS: 72.0%
Nursing GPA: 3.68
My TEAS score kind of makes me a little nervous but I don't want to take it again and get a worse score and then not have the time to take it again. I've also seen some people having issues with the program saying you need to take Microbiology before starting the program... but I'm not sure if I'd be able to take that in the Summer because for Spring I'm taking A&P 2 and Chem because it's a registration req for the Microbiology. Lastly, I've already taken the Arts & Humanities elective req, General Psychology, and Composition & Lit 2. The only ones I have not completed required for the program are Principles of Sociology, Microbiology, and Lifespan Development.
Good Luck Everyone!! We will all get in and do well!!

Hey! I completely agree. That thread from last year held a lot of information, and each year is different in various ways! Far as I know you can only apply to 1 college per each program. So if you apply for Nursing at Gateway you can't apply for it at Norwalk too. Instead you can apply for Nursing at Gateway and a separate program like Respiratory Therapy at Norwalk. I'm not sure why they made it that way? But yeah, you can only apply to 1 college per program because I thought I'd apply to Capital and Naugatuck and I found out you can't do that. I've done both A&PI and II, did the chem we need for Microbiology, I did the psychology and lifespan like you and the arts and humanities. So I think we'll be good to go! You can do the Microbiology while in the program, but I'm able to do it this Spring semester, so I'm doing it and then all the gen. ED's will be outta the way! My Scores.. But I do need to calculate my Nursing GPA again so I'm gonna leave that out for now is...
A&P I: A
TEAS: 79.3% my nursing GPA should be at least 3.5
Good Luck to you too! And I hope this thread gets a little more in it!

Hi! I am applying for Fall 2025 at Gateway. I was originally planning on applying to more than one campus but I found out that you can only apply to one campus per program which sucks because applying to as many schools as possible would definitely increase our chances of getting a seat in the program :(. I am about to take A&P II this upcoming semester so I will only have Microbiology left for the gen eds, which I plan on taking during the Summer or during the program. These are my stats:
TEAS: 96.3&
Nursing GPA: should be around 3.6
Good luck to everyone and I hope that we can keep this thread going until the decisions come out!
I got my vaccine form turned in today which was my last thing! I'm so anxious to find out, it'll be a long wait 😅
Did y'all just use picture of high school diploma for proof of high school? I'm just second guessing if that's enough, I read it on the website to use that but then they emailed me saying they don't have my proof of high school graduation and then haven't replied to my email asking about it. LOL

I just sent my high school transcript for proof of completion and it says received! So that should be good.
Has anyone noticed which items (if any) are marked as received yet on their Nursing application? My immunization and h.s. completion is marked as received and my composition is marked as received, everything else still says not received. So weird. TIA!

Yeah this whole received thing is so strange. I was in contact with someone from the selective admission team and this was the response about that question. "The Supplemental Items and Documents Section of your application may show as Not Received or Received throughout the application period. Final review will begin after the application closes." For my application only the supplemental form, immunization, and proof of high school completion shows as received. I just don't like how it says that I have things to complete when I don't... OH! also at the end of the email she sent it says once your application review is complete, items will be listed as received if they meet the requirements. Sorry this is so long but they should really add this information on the page where we submit stuff to avoid any confusion.

Yes, my vaccine, hs grad, and TEAS say received but the rest say not. It would make a lot more since if it updated as submitted!

It's is so weird... I have everything and my TEAS submitted months ago and it says "not received.” I emailed them, they have it, but didn't mark it as received yet and probably won't until next month or maybe longer. It is soooo frustrating. Ugh.
