I think you should step back and figure out where your weak areas are that caused you to fail the first time and go for the RN entrance exam again. Once you are in any nursing program the amount of information to digest is challenging and the pace of some LPN programs is actually faster than some RN programs. You will want to maximize your marketability as a new nurse, which these days generally means an RN and even many places are requiring or preferring a BSN! Check out our Nursing Student Forums for lots of advice and experience for all kinds of nursing school-related tests. Wishing for you to ace that test next time around!

I'm confused too, I took RN Prereqs, but got Cs on my Sciences which make it a low GPA. I know you need a good GPA to get in the programs & then there are waiting list. So I don't know if i should attend a LVN , or just attend a Private like west Coast University & go straigh for BSN in about 3yrs. i hope people to respond to my topic and help

Hello all, my mind is really foggy right now because I'm trying to figure out if i should go through with an LPN program or just go straight for the RN program. Is it worth it? Because I already didn't pass the entrance test for the RN, passed 4 parts but not the other three so i have to take the whole test over again...bummer! I guess I got discourage thinking maybe I should take a step back and do the LPN program and get my feet wet then bridge over. NEED HELP!!!! any suggestions?
