Confused about school

Are you going to get a BSN if you stay at home? For a CRNA you have to have a MSN and to get an MSN you have to have a BSN.

I really think that you should go away to school. I was in the exact same situation 2 years ago, but I had a taste of both worlds. My senior year in highschool I did early addmission at the CC and took all college courses (didnt even go to the highschool except to graduate). My mom and grandmom wanted me to stay at the CC and I knew that I would miss my 2 yr old brother plus I could work and live at home for free but.... I had to grow up sometime. After graduation I went 5 hours away from home...I was sooo excited at first, but when it was time to go and I realized that I didn't know ANYONE, I felt like my parents were abandoning me. My first year I lived on campus and freshmen were not allowed to have cars, we had public bathrooms/showers, we had to get the meal plan at the cafe because we there wasn't a stove (we were very creative with the microwave), our male buddies could only visit us in the lobby, which closed at 12am, we didn't even have cable. when I got there I remember sitting in my dorm room wondering what to do next. It felt wierd to be able to do whatever I wanted without my parents finding out. Some people can't handle that so make sure you stay focused and set some rules for yourself. I met 2 girls my first day there and we became the best of friends. It was the best experience of my life (so far). I had so much fun , I don't even know where to begin. I finally felt grown up!!! I never made so many friends so fast. You meet so many diverse people and it's a great way to network. Of course I got a little home sick evey now and then but my family was only a phone call away. Even though the A/C broke down in the summer (in Florida!!!) and we opened the window and ants came in...I don't regret any of it. It's a once in a life time opportunity (when ur older its not appealing) dont let it pass you!!!

I moved off campus last year (the 2 girls are my roomates) and and got accepted in to the upper division 2nd semester, I got a car too, but I barely had time to go anywhere because school was so demanding. Plan for the future but don't focus on working, enjoy the extra time that you will have during your pre reqs and what little free time you'll have in the program, after all, when is the next time in your life that you'll be given money to get every thing you need with out having to work?

My goodness, I am pretty much in the same situation... Well, kinda. I am also going off to college (2 hrs away - War Eagle!) I move in in less than a month, and let me tell you, a year ago I was so excited to be moving out and have the ability to "be on my own"... But right now I am sooo nervous and scared. Don't worry about it -- EVERYONE gets nervous about going away to school. Life is what you make of it. If you go off to college completely dreading it, "knowing" you'll hate it... Then odds are, you probably will. Everything depends on your attitude toward the situation. But if you go having an open mind about things, you will probably have the time of your life (that's what I keep telling myself anyway, haha :chuckle).

If I were you, I would GO to the university. You never know... You might meet your future husband there, or future best friend for life. You just never know.

But that's just my 2 cents :)
