Confused about rounding units

Published

I have a math competency on tuesday. The rules say to round all bolus doses to the nearest 500 units and all infusion rates to the nearest 10 units/hr for heparin drip calculations. I am really confused on what she means. She said she would not ask rounding like that but she did on the last test and google is not helping me. How do I round this way?

Lets say I have a bolus of 5,345.45455, well directions say you cant exceed 5,000 so that is okay but what would i have rounded the rest to if it said not to exceed?

help me with this math

Huh? It would be 5,500. They're asking you to round to a particular precision. Have you not taken chemistry?....
