Hi to all nurses around the world.
This is actually my first time to open a topic here for discussion on this site. I am hoping for good responses and some advice.
I am a registered nurse in the Philippines and has worked there for 5 years from 2007-2012 as a clinical instructor. Some time in 2011, I received an acceptance letter for new zealand but failed to find a school for the competence assessment program thus my application expired. In 2012 I moved to one of the countries in Scandinavia due to marriage. It frustrates me because I need to study the language and the entire process of getting registration takes a long time. I thought things will go well but it didnt. The scandinavian language is one hindrance to me and one thing that i need to study a course for 2 years for the medical or nursing swedish. I am working now as a nurse assistant in a nursing home. I am very envious about nurses who were able to have achieved their dream jobs in their dream country.
I would like to move to Australia or New Zealand. I got so depressed that these two countries require 2 years of experience in the last 5 years. When I calculated my experience has already expired. Please tell me how to proceed. Should I apply to any of these countries and find my luck. I am certain that my experience would not qualify anymore. Should I enrol to any course or program to NZ or AUS that would lead to registration in these countries. If I do enrol please advise me which program to take in either of these countries. Should i just go back to the philippines and get experience again which i doubt if jobs are available for nurses there. I feel so depressed that I am back to zero again. If there are any immigration advice for nurses in these 2 countries i would greatly appreciate it.
Please enlighten me. I need help.
I would greatly appreciate it if any of you with kind hearts and minds to help me with this journey.
Thank you all. God bless us

If they are the 2 countries you wish to move to then try applying to them and see what they say and then make a decision and see if there are nurse refresher courses available
