I deferred my Summer 2022 enrollment to fall 2022, so I just want to start a thread for this program to meet future classmates!!
I was accepted. I actually had a lower overall GPA, 3.28. Not sure what my exact prereq GPA was but I got A's and B's in them, mostly A's. I double majored in Biology and German at UCLA. I did a ton of volunteer work and currently work in a medical office full time. I did over 300+ volunteer hours in a hospital setting but I also am a bereavement proactive caller volunteer for a hospice company (good way to get volunteer hours). I was also a part of numerous clubs in college which I had a lot to say about. I have been applying to nursing schools for two years, lots of waitlists and denies. Trust the process and get as much experience as you can!

Awesome! Thank you! In addition, are the emails personalized to you or general?

My UC GPA was a little low at 3.28 from UCDavis bc I failed the last class of the Ochem series and I had used up all my repeat units at that point but I ended up retaking the whole Ochem series at a cc once I graduated and got A’s which I think helped. My prereq GPA was probably around 3.7. I volunteered at cedars in hs for a year or so but only a quarter at the Ucd med center during college. I was a human development major and in college, I worked various jobs in teaching and with kids (TA, behavior technician, sitter, etc) and ofc the occasional barista and gym job. Other than jobs and the one quarter volunteering at ucdmc, I didn’t have any extra curriculars in undergrad. Once I graduated I was a medical assistant at a med spa for a little over a year. Not a super standout candidate in terms of academics but I think I made up for it by showing/explaining how I’ve grown and how all my job experience will help my succeed in nursing.
