Concern about possible travel position pertaining to Tele

I have been put up for a possible travel assignment that involves a true telemetry unit that requires ACLS. Now I have no tele experience except occasional pts on tele on a med/surg unit and thats it. I am scheduled to take an ACLS class tomorrow to become certified that I just signed up for Wednesday and I feel like I may be in over my head. I am an LVN and I was just wondering if I am playing myself. Its a 13 week contract and I would think they want someone with tele experience already right? But I wouldn't mind getting that experience and having that under my belt. I just want others opinions and or advice. Thank you so much.:twocents:

It could be a Baptism by fire! or...you could get a very nice crew that is willing and has the time to teach. If the offer is extended, and you decide to take it, you might consider taking a 12 lead ECG class in addition to ACLS. Brush up on your CHF, STEMI and nonSTEMI, CAD, and ask the nurse manager what is the pt population/disease processes...Familiarize yourself with care for pts after cv procedures including s/p CABG and PCTAs. Tests including echo, myocardial perfusion, cardiac enzymes, etc...re-familiarize yourself with your cardiac meds/gtts.
